Raising pot-bellied pigs
February 10th, 2010
There are certain things you should not do while raising a pig, specifically a pot-bellied pig. You should not take your pot-bellied pig out for a walk near the local farmer’s market before your pig has had its feeding time. All it takes is for one green pepper, carelessly replaced on the display, to roll off the table for the pig to break into an all out run for his favorite vegetable! The leash rips through your hand before you even realize what’s happening and your pig is off! This of course leads to the inevitable comedy caper as the vegetable stand is knocked down and the vegetables fly everywhere. Everyone around you is staring in disbelief and vegetables are rolling around beneath our feet and under the other vegetable stands. You are slightly mollified and out about $100.00, but your pig is very, very happy. The moral of the story? Make sure your pig always follows his feeding schedule.
