Save Money With Aquarium Thermometers
January 9th, 2010
An aquarium thermometer allows you to save more money in the long-term care of your fish. Tank owners should note that tropical saltwater is very sensitive to temperature, making the use of an aquarium thermometer very important.Your first option for a thermometer is the stick-on digital type. These are attached to the aquarium’s exterior. The stick-on is the easiest to use, letting you know the aquarium’s temperature with one look. The opposite of the stick-on is the floating thermometer, which can be placed inside the tank. It should have a simple suction cup mount if you would like to set it at one particular area. It is also able to float freely throughout the aquarium. The floating thermometer is made of plastic. They are not recommended since they have a short visible temperature range, making it more difficult to determine the tank’s temperature. Other reliable thermometer types are the standing and stainless steel.
