The results of the powdered egg yolk studies in the middle part of the century have not been borne out in later studies done in the 1970s and l980s. There are now close to a dozen published studies showing very little, if any, cholesterol elevation from eating eggs. The most recent chapter in the egg saga was written by Professor Donald J. McNamara of the University of Arizona and studies acai berry canada. He studied fifty men who spent six weeks on a diet containing half the typical American dietary cholesterol level, and then six weeks on a diet containing double the typical level-a fourfold increase.
