Ileum

March 31st, 2010

Three parts are distinguished in the small intestine: (1) the duodenum, the part nearest to the stomach, 25-30 cm long: (2) the jejunum, which accounts for fifth of the small intestine with the exception of the duodenum; and (3) the ileum, composing the remaining three fifth. There is no clearly manifest anatomical boundary between the jejunum and ileum and their separation is therefore relative. The duodenum runs around the head of the pancreas like a horseshoeMedical Coding Services will help you to do collections and also the pending amounts from the patients.
