The People of Federal Hill

The people of Federal Hill are just as diverse as the Federal Hill Real Estate. In 1980 there were 7,322 people living in Federal Hill but in 1990 the census showed that the number had dropped to 6,919 people. These people were were mostly white with 15% being Hispanic and less than 2% were African-American. More than half of the residents in 1990 were 25 years or older with high school diplomas or GEDs. 25% of the residents of Federal Hill worked in manufacturing while 20% worked in retail and in 1989 the median family income was $20,260. Today, things have changed and the individuals, as well as their income and businesses have continued to grow and prosper.
