Powdery mildew can be found on a wide variety of plants but is more common on fruits and vegetables. Powdery mildew is recognized by a few key characteristics. The most common characteristic of powdery mildew is a white to grey powdery spots. On some plants it will produce yellow spots and have little to none of the powdery growth.
When leaves are infected with powdery mildew they tend to slowly turn yellow , die and then fall off. A side effect of leaves dying and falling off is can leave fruit susceptible to sun burn. Infected plants tend to produce fruit with little flavor.
