If you’re looking for that perfect combination of power and economy, a supermini could be just the direction you need. The VW Polo is a neat little drive for its class, a reliable leader amongst its supermini brethren. Classic models are available with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines, the 1.4 providing the best balance of power and efficiency with a nice quiet drive and minimal vibration through the peddles. In the new models, however, the 1.2 litre TSI does the job sufficiently, proving economical and energy efficient, with up to 20% savings on fuel.
